When opening a new file, the first measure defaults in the key of C Major. To change keys, press on the measure between the clef and Time Signature, or where Key Signatures would typically be displayed. This will open the Key Signature Palette. From here, press the corresponding button for which key you would like your file to read. See the Barline Palette for instructions on how to change keys in the middle of a piece. |
