Window always on top in 5.0.8 (PC)
Just made the upgrade to 5.0.8 on my Windows XP SP3 PC. A new issue I am having is the main program application window is always on top. Since I have an auto-hiding taskbar, I have to click the minimize button to see other things like email alerts, etc. This is not at all a deal breaker in any way. ...

Good to know. At least I know that I wasn't doing something wrong. Thanks.

Re: problem with printing drill to Adobe .pdf with dot fonts
Old thread! Rise from your grave!
I'm having the same % sign issue. The problem seems to me that it's not embedding the font into the document. Did anybody ever figure this out? I do everything by PDF, and this only seems to have started happening to me since 5.0.7 (XP SP3)

Sounds more like an issue with Java than with PyWare.

Re: Remembering window locations
Odd. I'm discovering that it is doing this with both the follow the leader tool along with knife/glue. That is to say that once I move either of those to my preferred location, it remembers that for the rest of the time the program is open. Like I said, not even close to a critical issue, but strang...

Remembering window locations
Not sure if this would be considered a problem or a suggestion, but it is something that has been gently bugging me since upgrading to v5 Interactive. It remembers the location of every window and every tool aside from the knife/glue window. That one always gets reset to cover up the main tool palle...

Re: No print preview in v5
Tried that. There is no way to get to the print layout preferences box unfortunately. Short of deleting the printer off my computer, I don't know how to fix it. My normal printer is considered the default according to Windows.

No print preview in v5
Last night, in trying to print out some of my drill charts, I went into the page layout settings and switched the printer over to my Adobe PDF creator. That changed my print preview window into a giant gray blank box making it impossible to print or even change any of my settings back. It does this ...

Re: Sync to mp3 problems
This might be a little overly tech oriented, but if the mp3 is at a variable bit rate, you will encounter all sorts of problems, particularly in any kind of playback that doesn't start at the beginning. Most likely, as mentioned earlier, bit rate will probably solve most if not all of your problems.

Computer not associated with account
I was writing drill this afternoon, took a break to watch my beloved Red Wings lose in game 7, and now the program is insisting that my computer is no longer associated with my account. This is really bad, especially since I was about to send off my completed drill that just needed a little cleaning...

Re: v5 and dual monitors
I wish it were that easy. Doesn't go. George Hester and I have been talking via private messages about this as well, he was able to recreate the issue with his PC install but had no problem with the Mac install. Here is a portion of our conversation: I'm running Windows XP SP3. The monitor program I...

v5 and dual monitors
Just upgraded to v5 and am thus far very pleased. One thing I would like to be able to do is move the perspective window and the production sheet windows over to my second monitor. Being able to move them outside the window is great, but I would like to use my other monitor for that instead. Is this...

Re: Using the pit space
Generally speaking, it's different from circuit to circuit, but here are the general rules that I follow (mostly because they apply to my home state). In Michigan, there are no real boundaries, only areas that will be guaranteed available for the performers. For example, the pit area for us in defin...

Echoing one more thought from above: cutting and pasting between documents for text boxes. I'm finding myself needing that more and more as I do more contract work.

Re: Version 5 Update Suggestions
Concerning props: The ability for different people to pick them up and move them instead of having one static performer assigned to them all the time. This would let different performers move the prop, drop it off, and get back to the drill. Also, the ability to rotate or change the orientation of t...
