customized grid... light vs. dark??
Hey - so as I'm wrapping up the season and working until the wee hours of the morning (hence the time I'm posting this) I just came across something that might be a permanent change for me and I wanted to share it with others to see if anyone has any opinions on it or already does this. Lately I hav...

Great video George! I've been toying with the 'figurines' as well and love what it does for the design elements! How did you get your field to be green? also, it looks like you do the same thing I do to circumvent the 'prop' tool and use performers to be props, but now it looks like walls of people...

Ok, This year, 15 high schools (three completed) 9 winter guards 1 winter drum line not much sleep this time of year nice! maybe someday I'll get there... not that more is better... just that I'm working to be a full-time designer and I hope to get more gigs in the future. But this year I have 10 h...

George - Great Video!!! Very Cool!!!! Video Companies better watch out!!! Or there will not be any need for them. haha!! Thanks! :) I know... I tried to simulate a video as it might turn out if done in real life. it was just an experiment and it came out surprisingly well. I don't have a stud...

Re: Thanks
How do you make a video for clients? :?: I think I might have mentioned this in another thread, but I use a PC and downloaded windows media encoder. I just do a screen capture of the perspective window when played back with audio, and later add the original mp3 audio to the video and combine it in ...

I definitely think they are a really cool addition. technology is so cool. just imagine if they could make them actually march, left right left right - and it was more fluid. That would just be sick, wouldn't it?! Anyway, I do really like this, and so does one of my clients who has actually se...

i've noticed that too... I always thought it was just going faster and was a mistake of sorts, but then realized what you just mentioned. last year when I was using ver 3.0, something was weird with my system and I couldn't even use the pace tool. So I just got used to doing it manually and setting ...

Rather than start a new thread, I figured this was the best place to put this up. I don't know about other designers out there but this idea came up today as I was going through having to enter text boxes for a 30+ page opener I just finished... and I basically put together an idea to present and se...

Thanks Dustin.... I'm aware of that option you illustrated. I was referring more towards the "ease" of the older way, rather than the way you demonstrated. With the new way, I would have to draw the arc, draw another arc (omitting the overlap, obviously), and another and another... then I'd have to ...

Line + Arc together
This is somewhat of a topic I felt might be better suited for the "Tips and Tricks" section, but I figured I'd add it here since it's something else that I think was changed from before and would like to see if it was possible to be brought back. It just so happens that I'm full steam ahead on my dr...

Re: A few extra random suggestions...
B. It would also be nice if we could get rid of the ".3dj" extension in the field title at the upper left hand corner of the drill chart. I would prefer to have this area left open for the following fields: -Organization (e.g., J.P. Taravella High School, Phantom Regiment, Texas A&M University, etc...

Distort feature...
There was this "distort" feature that was in the section with re-size, slant and stretch that hasn't been available on the last few releases of 3D. I did a search through the forums to see if it was ever brought up but it doesn't seem to have been. I wanted to ask about the chance if that feature mi...

What bitrate are your Mp3 files set too? We suggest 192 Kbps to be the most compatible. This particular one is at 64. I have Soundforge, yet I don't see an option to raise the Kbps to 192. Anyone out there know of any software that will do this? Hey Nikk, I use Audacity... it's free! I don't know a...

I hear ya on the text box thing... but I have had those same issues with my web design. A lot of it has to do with you computer's resolution and what you have it set to in the documents on Pyware. my screen res is 1920x1200, so pretty darn high, which makes everything tiny. For my sake of being able...

Nikk, I too have been having various random probs with the beta 4.2 but I'm hoping that whenever the full version is released (which I thought said today - June 25) then it'll be fixed. :?: My noticed problems occur during animation with mp3 playback... and no, not with the perspective window open. ...
