Version 8 Not Registering

I just updated my machine to Version 8 and even though it says it will pick up or use a Version 7 serial number it will not do so on my machine. I have sent in the Register via Email info and hope to have a usable serial number soon... just a head's up for anyone else planning on trying out Version 8 at this time.

Version 8 requires a version 8 serial number.

If you purchased version 7 after 1/1/2014 then you will receive a free update. Any purchases before that time will be a paid update.

OMG，I just upgraded to the v7 professional version from the v7 interactive version, just yesterday. Will I receive a free update to v8?
