I cannot seem to click on the visual editor icon, it is shaded out. My performers are highlighted, I have already tried to "Reset Windows Location."

The Visuals Editor will not be available if you do not have the Real View Enabled. The Real View can be enabled in the File>Application Options> Display Window. A restart of the software is required after enabling it.

I am having the same trouble, but your solution doesn't fix it. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

I select, show "real view" perspective window, then save the file, close the program then reopen. The selection is never saved no matter how many times I do it. Any ideas?

If any settings in Application Options are not saving you are having a file permission issue with your settings file. Instructions on how to correct this can be found at the links below:
