Windows 7 Installation

I have been trying to install the CD from my daughter's school from the "Standard of Excellence" book for the French Horn and it stalls on the installation process. I came to the forum and saw a similar post that stated each person's situation is different so I am starting this thread to find out what to do.

What book are you installing from? Book 1 or Book 2?

Book 1 for the french horn.

Can anyone help on the installation on Windows 7 PC? Spend whole night for my daughter without any success. I believe the software has some flaws. Please advise
