Are your drill charts printing without symbols (meaning you see labels only, no performers)? The majority of the time this is caused by the symbol font not being properly installed on your computer. This can occur if the program was installed as a non-administrator on the computer. Fortunately, this can be corrected by simply installing the necessary fonts into your computer’s Fonts folder.
Instructions for Windows
- Go to Computer > C: > Program Files > Pyware 3D > lib > factory > forAppDataLib > fonts
- Copy the “PYJAVA2.ttf” and “pyview.ttf” files onto your desktop
- Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Fonts
- Move the copied fonts on your desktop into the Fonts folder
- Once both fonts are installed, restart your machine to complete the process
After you have restarted your computer, open 3D again and attempt to print your drill. You will now see both symbols and labels on the drill charts.
Instructions for Macintosh
- Go to Applications > Pyware 3D > lib > factory > forAppDataLib > fonts
- Copy the “PYJAVA2.ttf” and “pyview.ttf” files onto your desktop
- Go to Applications > Font Book
- Move the copied fonts on your desktop into the Font Book
- Once both fonts are installed, restart your machine to complete the process
After you have restarted your computer, open 3D again and attempt to print your drill. You will now see both symbols and labels on the drill charts.
